If you are in the same room as I am, you can damn well talk to me. I am not hard to talk to. I am verbose and willing to do most of the work. I just need a comment or two, some eye contact, and maybe the occasional encouraging smile. Is that too much to ask?

Introduction

Someone asked me recently, after I had expressed my usual enthusiasm for something, "AMZB, is there anything you don't like?"

"Dots," I said. "And the comma splice."

But her point was well taken. I am an enthusiastic person. I am usually excited and pleased about most things. But there are many things I dislike too, and I rarely have the opportunity to vent about them except to my closest friends. This blog, then, will give me a chance to express to the world what things irk me. Whenever I feel disgust or mild irritation, outrage or annoyance, I will let you know here.

I am aware of the passive-aggressive potential of a blog like this. But I think the lameness of confronting people only online will be offset by the fun I'll have writing here. And in any case, few people are likely to read this.
